For generations, four clans have occupied this world. Each had their own, unique talents and features which fit their different environments.
ShadeClan was the clan of the stealthy and those who slipped away in the night. They were a feared clan but not the most hated.
SunClan was the clan of the agile cats and the clan of the strong but underestimated. While ShadeClan was feared, SunClan was openly disliked by the rest of the clans.
DappleClan was the clan of the fishers and those who swam. They were content cats who were viewed with suspicion by all and often overestimated. Out of all the clans, DappleClan was perhaps the most peaceful and wise.
ThornClan was the clan of warriors and the stubborn. Because they are the ones who have won the most battles, they are considered the strongest clan.
For generations the same pattern of living occurred again and again. The clans clashed and arguments raged. There seemed to be no end to the bickering and the fighting. Things often became physical over disputed territory or prey or sources of water. In the end, no cat ever seemed to be satisfied. But things rarely ever repeat the same process forever. Something is about to interrupt that pattern of living...
When cats die, they do not just spirit away, never to be seen again. They go to the skies. To StarClan! Or, at least most cats do. However, StarClan is a place for eternal peace. There are some who do not deserve such rewards. Those cats are the most evil, the most atrocious cats one will ever meet. They go to the Place of No Stars, or the Dark Forest. But don't think those cats want to stay there. Oh no, for generations they have been scheming and plotting against StarClan and the clans.
